At our Studio Newborn Sessions, we understand that every baby is a precious miracle, deserving of the utmost care and attention. Nestled in the leafy suburb of Moggill, just 18 kilometers southwest of Brisbane's bustling CBD, our boutique custom built home studio provides the perfect backdrop for capturing the unique features and essence of your newborn using the beauty of natural light. While the ideal window for capturing newborns is within the first 10-14 days of birth, these precious moments can be encapsulated up to 8 weeks old. Every session includes a variety of sibling and family photographs. Due to the limited availability of Newborn Photography sessions each month, it's recommended to secure your spot during the second trimester to prevent potential disappointment. The photo session itself will span around 2 hours, allowing ample time for feeding, soothing, embracing, and forging connections with your newborn.

THE PROCESS
1.
Enquire about your due date.
Start by filling out the enquiry form on our contact page and we will be in touch within 48 hours with availability and pricing.
2.
Consultation.
If you would like to discuss your session and any questions you may have with Ebony, you're welcome to schedule a time.
3.
Booking and agreement.
If you feel we're the perfect fit, and you decide to move forward with your booking, we will guide you through the booking process and send through your booking invoice and client agreement.
4.
Pre-session planning.
After booking I will send through your newborn session guide to help you prepare for your session. Included in this guide, is outfit styling tips, what to expect and tips for the day.
5.
Your session.
The day of your newborn session! We will embrace all of the moments together and have so much fun.
6.
Post-production and delivery of photographs.
Within 24-48 hours after your session you'll receive your sneak peeks to share with your family and friends.
The full gallery will be finished and delivered to you online within 4 weeks after your session.
Package selection.
Within 5 days after receiving your edited gallery, you'll be able to choose your desired package. Once payment has been recieved you'll recieve your photographs via download to love and adore forever. If you have selected a package with professional prints, this is where we select your photographs for print processing or album design.

When should I book my newborn session? What if my baby is already here?I recommend booking your newborn session during your second trimester, as I only take a limited number of sessions each month. This ensures we can reserve space around your due date and plan for those beautiful early weeks. If your baby has already arrived — don’t worry! I regularly photograph babies up to 8 weeks old and will always do my best to fit you in. Just reach out as soon as you can.

How long does a newborn session go for?Studio sessions typically run for up to 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and settling your baby without feeling rushed. Everything moves at your baby’s pace.

How long until we receive our gallery?Your fully edited gallery will be delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session.

What should we wear?You’ll receive a full prep guide with outfit tips when you book, and you’re also welcome to borrow from my Client Wardrobe, which includes soft, neutral pieces that photograph beautifully and pair well with the studio aesthetic.

Do we need to bring anything to our newborn session?Just bring your baby and anything they might need for feeding or soothing. I’ll take care of the rest — wraps, bonnets, layers, and props are all provided and styled in timeless, neutral tones.

Can we include family and sibling photos?Absolutely. Parents and siblings are always welcome and encouraged to be part of the session — at no additional cost.

We don't feel comfortable in front of the camera - is that ok?That’s completely normal, and I hear it all the time. My approach is very gentle and natural. I’ll guide you in a relaxed way that feels more like connecting with your baby than “posing.”

Do you offer payment plans?Yes, absolutely! Just let us know and we can arrange a payment plan that suits. All final payments must be received prior to providing download rights to your images.

Is newborn photography safe?Your baby’s safety is always my highest priority. I use baby-led posing techniques, and do not use props or put your baby into un-natural positions. I follow strict hygiene practices, and I’m fully immunised. With years of experience and the instincts of a mum myself, you and your baby are always in safe hands.
